Founding members and directors of the Virtuosity Foundation

Farhana Booley

Farhana  qualified as a CA(SA) in 1998 after which she held various Senior Financial Positions at Sasol including Group Financial Manager: Decision Support and Project Owner: Functional Excellence (a project to streamline the Finance Function of the Sasol Group) before deciding to be a stay-at-home mom in 2009.  In August 2013 she was a founding partner of Virtuosity, a local fitness clothing brand and home of the Virtuosity Games.  Upon the dissolution of the Virtuosity partnership in 2016, the Virtuosity Foundation was born to host fitness events (the Virtuosity Games) in order to raise funds for literacy projects.

Susie  is a qualified PR and Communications practitioner and Sports Marketing Consultant.  Her experience of more than twenty years, has included brand development, marketing and media strategy, event management, event marketing and media strategy as well as managing commercial and sponsorship programs linked to international events.  Projects have included the launch and development of the Sharks rugby brand, Cape Argus Pick ‘n Pay Cycle Tour, World Summit on Sustainable Development, 2003 ICC Cricket World Cup, SA Open Golf Championship (5 years) and Volvo Golf Champions 2013.  While primarily a stay-at-home mom, Susie does adhoc consulting as time allows.

Julian Reichman-Israelsohn

Julian is the fitness consultant on the team and is responsible for the design of the workouts at the events.  Julian has been involved in the sporting arena since his early days of primary school and has represented South Africa in various disciplines on a national and international level.  He is owner and head coach at CrossFit Platinum and has more than 20 years experience as a personal trainer and coach.  Julian completed his studies in Sports Management (Institute of Commercial Management, Allenby Campus), Personal Fitness Training (Exercise Teachers Academy), Sports Strength & Conditioning Training (National Sports and Conditioning Council), CrossFit (CrossFit Level One, CrossFit Coaches Prep (Now called CrossFit Level Two), CrossFit Endurance, CrossFit Gymnastics, CrossFit Kids, MobilityWOD Certifications) and numerous other speciality training programs including the Sealfit Kokoro Camp.

The Virtuosity Foundation also have two other directors who act as independent advisors.
